Welcome to Clearbrook Manor

Clearbrook Manor offers a quiet and tranquil setting for recovery. Since 1980, the Manor has been offering high-quality, affordable treatment for adults suffering from the disease of alcoholism and/or chemical dependency.

Clearbrook Manor is a private, sub-acute, freestanding adult inpatient drug and alcohol rehab center. The co-ed facility admits patients who are at least 18 years old, and have sufficient hearing, speech, and verbal skills to effectively participate in the therapy offered.

Detox Facility/Inpatient Treatment Center in Pennsylvania

From a mountaintop in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Clearbrook Manor offers a panoramic view of the historic Wyoming Valley. The glorious landscape surrounding the Manor complements our drug and alcohol treatment program. Facilities include our new dining hall, chef’s kitchen, office buildings, detox unit and rehabilitation wing, meeting rooms, and clinical and administrative offices. Whether greeted by summer green or autumn gold, visitors leave the Manor with the feeling that they have been somewhere special. They have the tools needed to successfully transition into recovery.

Our new residential building features a 22-bed detoxification unit, with a free standing sub-acute medical station staffed by trained nurses and private interview space, which provides the utmost in Clearbrook’s nationally leading “Patients Come First” treatment. Along with our detox unit, there are 46-beds where patients feel the warmth and comfort of a place where they discover hope and begin the journey of recovery.

Our 28-day drug and alcohol treatment program is divided into two distinct components: The detox portion, which is a non-hospital, sub-acute, medically monitored program and provides round-the-clock nursing; and our Primary Care Program which is based upon the belief that alcoholism and chemical dependency are primary diseases. Our approach to understanding and treating the disease of addiction is based largely upon the philosophy and principles of Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous, along with a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Patients participate in both individual and group counseling, each of which is conducted by primary counselors. In addition to individual and group sessions, patients participate in an intense daily schedule of activities including lectures, discussions, and special needs groups. Patients are also required to attend daily AA/NA meetings that are held in-house or community-based.

Clearbrook believes that establishing a comfort level and familiarity with the various types of AA/NA meetings is key to assisting the patient in developing a commitment to continue utilizing these meetings following their discharge from the Manor. Discharge planning begins the moment the patient is admitted to Clearbrook Manor and concludes with the patient reviewing, agreeing to and signing a commitment to a specialized after care plan. The discharge plan will include patient communication with a recovering individual who will meet the patient immediately after discharge, familiarizing him or her with local AA/NA meetings and introducing them to people within those groups. Establishing a solid aftercare plan is crucial in the early stages of recovery.
