On August 31, the House Democratic and Republican Policy committees and the PA Heroin, Opioid Prevention and Education (HOPE) Caucus will hold a public hearing to discuss the area’s rise in overdoses and what more could be done to curtail the drug epidemic.

Along with host, Rep. Marty Flynn, Clearbrook Treatment Center’s Vice President of Clinical Affairs, Richard Conaboy, will testify on how this health crisis has significantly impacted Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Richard P. Conaboy Jr.Richard Conaboy brings a front-line prespective to this discussion.  At Clearbrook, he comes face-to-face with the devastation this drug epidemic is causing in the lives of so many people in our area. Richard has been in profesional counseling since 1975, and joined Clearbrook Treatment Centers in 2001 as Administrator and Clinical Director.

The meeting will be held at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center, Electric City Ballroom, beginning at 10 a.m.

“We must take comprehensive action at the local, state and federal levels to stem this tide from continuing,” said Rep. Marty Flynn.
