Here are some of the things our patients want to know before coming to Clearbrook.

1Can I bring my cell phone?
Cell phones are not permitted while a patient is in treatment at Clearbrook. After a 5-day blackout (no contact) period, patients are permitted to make calls to loved ones and friends using in-house phone provided for patient use.
2Can I have visitors while I'm at treatment at Clearbrook?
After a patient has completed their blackout period, which is the first 5 days of treatment, visitation may be requested by a patient through their primary counselor. The primary counselor makes decisions as to visitation timing and appropriateness.

**We ask that everyone visiting our campus be free from all mood and mind altering substances. If alcohol or drug use is suspected, that individual will be immediately escorted off of the premises.

All smoking must be done during designated times and in designated areas. Smoking is not permitted indoors or within 25 feet of any building entryways.

Furthermore, we do allow patients to bring and use smokeless tobacco, such as chewing tobacco and snus.

The same rules apply for these products and their usage on the Clearbrook campus. At no time are these products permitted to be used in doors, and must only be used in designated smoking areas, during designated times.

Smokeless / vapes are permitted as long as they’re non-refillable.

***All tobacco and/or nicotine products must be sealed and unopened when arriving at Clearbrook. Our staff will inspect all products before allowing the patient to have them during their stay. If these packages are open or have a non-commercial label on them, they may not be approved for use at Clearbrook. Such products will either be stored with the patient’s personal effects, sent home with family members, or discarded with patient’s verbal approval.***
3Do I need a phone card to make calls?
Phone cards are NOT needed. In-house phones are provided for patients to use at designated times and are free to use for all calls, both local and long-distance.
4Do I need to bring my own bedding, towels, and pillows?
All towels, bedding, and pillows will be provided for you at Clearbrook. Every week, our Maintenance Team will provide you with fresh linens and wash the prior week’s sheets, towels, and blankets.

Fresh items are also available anytime upon request from the patient.
5Does Clearbrook offer a naloxone (or similar) maintenance program?
Clearbrook Treatment Centers practices an abstinence-based model of treatment, and does not offer a Suboxone maintenance program, or other medically-assisted treatment programs. It is our belief that the best quality of life is achieved through complete abstinence from all mood and mind-altering substances.

Nevertheless, we do believe that Suboxone is beneficial as a detox medication during the detoxification process in appropriate cases. When appropriate, Suboxone, or other medications, will be prescribed to ensure patients experience a safe and comfortable transition into complete abstinence.
6Does Clearbrook provide medical detox?
Yes, our dedicated medical staff will evaluate each patient and their specific needs when they arrive at Clearbrook. If medical intervention and/or medication is deemed appropriate, such interventions will take place.
7Does Clearbrook provide transportation to treatment?
Oftentimes, patients are unable to find a means of transportation into treatment. Clearbrook always makes sure transportation is available for our patients. Please contact our Admissions Specialists to discuss this issue further.
8How long will I stay at Clearbrook?
The length of your stay will depend upon your treatment needs as well as your progress while completing the drug and alcohol rehabilitation program at Clearbrook. Clearbrook’s inpatient drug and alcohol treatment program for adults is normally 28 days.
9What does a typical day look like at Clearbrook?
While every day’s clinical schedule varies from the next, patients can expect a general daily format. Each morning, patients are woken up at 7:00 AM, but have the ability to wake up earlier if they so choose. During this time, it is expected for each patient to be showered, dressed, and ready for the day. The first roll call is taken at 7:45 AM and breakfast is served at 8:00 AM. It is also during this time that rooms are cleaned, beds are made, and room inspection takes place.

At 9:30 AM, the commencement of clinical lectures and/or groups will take place. There are two clinical groups/lectures in the morning and two in the afternoon. Patients will be allotted time for bathroom and smokes breaks between each group. At 11:45 AM, roll call is taken and lunch is served. After lunch, the patient community has 45 minutes of free time. During this time, patients have the ability to return to their rooms to relax and refresh for a few minutes prior to the afternoon groups.

At 1:00 PM the afternoon clinical schedule with commence. Again, patients will be allotted specific time for bathroom and smoke breaks. At 3:30 PM, after the daytime clinical schedule is complete, the recreational period will begin. At this time, the campus store will open, where candy, cigarettes, clothing, toiletries, greeting cards, etc. can be purchased. Furthermore, it is during recreation that the patient community may utilize the basketball court, walking track, footballs, Frisbees, exercise equipment, board games, etc.

At 4:45 PM, roll call is taken and dinner is served promptly at 5:00 PM. After dinner, patients are permitted to make phone calls to family and friends in between groups until 10:00 PM. Patients are permitted back to their bedrooms for 15 minutes, to freshen up and/or get anything they may need for the night, i.e. jackets, books, cigarettes, etc.

At 6:00 PM, the night time clinical schedule will commence. In the evening, specialty groups will take place, such as alumni meetings, gender groups, life stories, etc. It is also during this time that specific community members will have the ability to attend outside 12-step meetings and in-house meetings are scheduled. Patients will be allotted specific time in between meetings for bathroom and smoke breaks.

We wrap up the day with a reflection group, called “Tenth Step.” Before beginning our reflection period, we first take the time to welcome new members to the patient community and congratulate members who are completing treatment, with a “Coin-Out” ceremony.

After this group is complete, patients are free to go to sleep if they so choose, or utilize the remaining free time before “Lights Out” at 11:00 PM. The patient community will also be provided with a night time snack after the completion of the day.

**Each day’s schedule may vary. This is especially the case during holidays and weekends, where times are adjusted to accommodate visiting hours, holiday festivities, and recreation periods. Every Saturday night, our staff adjusts the evening schedule to provide a “Pizza and Movie Night” for the patient community.**

Our admissions staff will take the time to explain each of our programs and answer all of your questions. During these telephone interviews, you will be asked a number of pertinent questions as a part of our intake gathering that will help us facilitate your admission. An intake is done to determine the level of care needed for each potential patient and if we are the most appropriate facility to meet those needs. When the information portion is concluded, appointments are scheduled for admission into Clearbrook. If you have further questions regarding the admissions process, please Click Here.
13Will I lose my job if I got to treatment?
Over the years, this question has been presented to us many of times. While each case is unique, there are specific laws in place to safeguard an individual’s job, if they decide to seek treatment services for drug and/or alcohol addiction.

Furthermore, many places of employment have various resources available for these specific circumstances. It would be our recommendation to first speak with your Human Resources Department to discuss this issue further. If you have additional questions or want additional help walking through this process, please feel free to contact us today.
