Treatment Center Closes Its Doors

Since 1969, The John Brooks Recovery Center has been treating the disease of addiction and sadly, has to close its doors.

In the midst of the heroin and narcotics crisis facing our country, a New Jersey drug rehab has to close its doors due to financial constraints.  This spring, The John Brooks Recovery Center will close and that equates to a loss of 119 inpatient, residential drug rehab beds.  They are located in Atlantic City, NJ.  New Jersey like every other state is experiencing explosive growth in the abuse of heroin.  It is already estimated that three out of four people that need a drug rehab in New Jersey never end up getting into treatment.  With this closing, approximately 42% of the states beds for long term treatment are gone.

At Clearbrook we would like to get the word out that one of our distinct advantages we have is our location.  We are accessible and within three hours of Atlantic City and all of southern New Jersey.  Clearbrook also offers our patients transportation to and from treatment.  Please call us at 1-800-582-6241 with any questions you may have.  Our admissions staff is on call 24 hours a day.
