Recently one of the largest heroin seizures in the country occurred in Queens, New York. Reports state that two men from Guatemala were found to be in possession of 48 kilograms of heroin in the beds of their pickup trucks. That equates to roughly $14 million of this deadly poison that is killing people every day in America.
The strange part of this bust is that these two men were not under surveillance of any kind. Two agents of the DEA were conducting unrelated surveillance duties when they noticed two trucks continually circling the same block. They pulled both of them over and brought in a K-9 unit which hit on the scent. Both men face serious possession charges and severe, lengthy prison sentences.
